Have you made a new year's resolution? Good, don't! ;) Instead, set an intention because...what do "resolutions" really do anyway?
An intention is an aim or plan. Plan to be intentional about how you're going to lead your life. You're rarely going to get anywhere alone. Solution? Find a group, coach, or someone who's been in the space that you'd like to gravitate towards. That's how you're going to make something happen - simple as that. If you want to make a change with your health, seek out a health coach for expertise, guidance and confidentiality.
As an example, if you're going to commit to something, be intentional about committing to it. I have had people join my seasonal energy boost cleanses that start the course, but then mention that it's too out of their comfort zone to make changes or try different things, even though they mentioned how they really need this because they have chronic inflammation, hormone imbalances, gallbladder pains, digestive distress, and endless fatigue. Yet, they don't want to make the changes it takes to get to the sticky root of the nightmarish cycle and be free of these challenges. Somehow, being in discomfort is "comfortable" to them.
That's not how we're designed to be...stuck in pain. Fear has a terrible claw that keeps you in a corner and sometimes a perceived comfort zone. When a solution comes up, and it agitates your comfort zone, you stay right in the cusp of where you need to change but hang on because it will create too many waves in your lifestyle. Or, you're just afraid to head into that unknown space. That's ok. But...
...maybe that's the wave you need to ride to get you out of the stagnant space you've been in forEVER.
No judgement or shame at all but dig into WHY it's keeping you so comfortable. Chances are that's where the biggest change needs to happen. Your mind is keeping you stuck and "comfortable".
Do you really want to put the effort into truly shifting your lifestyle and perspective? I mean, if something has to change, then it's ok to make some changes to the way you're currently living life. There's a gift around the corner if you just take that next step.
If there's a plan designed as a solution to your challenges, then it might be time to be intentional about shifting some things in your lifestyle to make room for something new to blossom so you can learn from it and watch your life positively change.
If you've failed before, it's ok - that's an OPPORTUNITY to dig deeper to see WHY you're failing and what needs to change in your life.
Breathe. Look at what has been challenging you. If you've been thinking about making that change already then be intentional about making it happen. Breathe. Relax. Charge forward!
Cheers to making things happen, sweet friend!
